- The importance of understanding the work visa process and certificate attestation when seeking employment in Dubai is very important for newcomers or those who are already here and looking to switch from tourist to residency.

- This blog will provide a step-by-step guide and essential tips to make the process smoother.

UAE has different types of work visas available for experts all over the world, Some of them are employment visas, investor visas, and freelance permits. In today's blog, we will go with employment visas and why attestation certificates are important, Let's dive in to know more in detail.

First, you need to find a job or company that is willing to hire you based on your skills, expertise, and academic background. Later you have to gather documents that you need to work legally here in UAE.

What Is Certificate Attestation

The university certificate attestation means you have to show them the proof that your higher educational certificates are original which is very significant for expatriates working in Dubai.

So how you can do the verification, depends on the country and its own requirements but most of them have similar tasks to be done before you can use it. Let's dive in,

Verification of your certificate by Educational institution: First you have to get your certificates attested from the higher educational institute that you graduated from. what you need to do is, go to the university and communicate with the examination control section, ask them if you want to verify your certificate (Attestation), and they will ask you for your certificate (You can add a photocopy with the original certificate to the university for the attestation as you can use it to another time) they will do the attestation for both (You may have to pay a little fee for the task, based on your university but it will not much around few dollars). They may ask you come to the next day if you go to the university later in the day, so it is advised to go to the university in the morning so you can get everything done in a single day (If you are not in the country where you graduated, you may ask you family or friends to do it for you).

The first step in the degree attestation process is to get the degree certificate and transcripts verified by the educational institution where the individual completed their studies. The Educational institution verifies the authenticity of the documents and confirms that the individual has completed them.

Verification by the Ministry of Education in the country of certificate of origin: After the educational institution has verified the documents, they must be authenticated by the Ministry of Education in the same country where you graduated. The Ministry of Education confirmed the authenticity of the documents and certified that they are genuine.

Verification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of certificate of origin: Once the Ministry of Education has verified the documents, they must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of certificate of origin.

UAE Embassy Attestation in the country of the certificate of origin: The next and final step from the country of origin is to verify the documents by the UAE embassy in the same country where the certificate originated.

OR

Attestation of the country's embassy in Dubai: If you can not or do not have attestation from the UAE embassy attestation from the country of the certificate of origin. Then you can go to your country (Bangladeshi general counselor office ) embassy here in Dubai/Abu Dhabi.

Attestation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office: After getting certificate attestation from all levels, this last one takes an online application by using UAE PASS (MOFA), you can apply for it from home. First, you need to log in by using your UAE PASS information or you can use anyone if you do not want to use yours (It does not matter if you have it or you do not want to use it or you can use someone else), but use someone name when you apply for it as you need to show your EID or passport of the person whose name you put on the registration when the delivery will come to your place to take and delivery the certificate as this process will take place online. You need to register and put the information about the certificate well you have to mention that you have already done your certificate attestation from your country as well UAE embassy from your country or your country general counselor office here in Dubai or Abu Dhabi (if you do not have it done already you can not send your certificate for final verification from MOFA). The registration will cost you 150 AED (plus around 3 AED VAT) and the delivery cost very from 30 to 95 AED based on your needs, from 30 for the basic package to 95 for super fast service. (Note: you will not get a refund for your delivery fee if your certificate attestation got rejected), you can check your delivery process online by tracking number.

  • Remember to meet the important deadlines for visa applications and attestation as it can take some extra time during holidays.

  • Remember to do tasks step by step, as all of them are required to fulfill one another.

  • Take care of the original certificate as you have to make everything with the original certificate so take your own one-step additional care for the certificate.

  • Try to do it by yourself as it's an easy and fair way to do it, don't pay extra money to someone to make it faster as it will take time to finish but not a month, you can make it within 7 to 13 days if you dedicate your time and will not cost more than what I mention (shipping from your country to UAE and Here to your country are not in the list).

  • You need a bank card as you can only book online for MOFA attestation by online payment for the final verification fee and delivery cost.

  • Don't forget to add an active number for the delivery and your address correctly so the delivery person can find your location smoothly.

  • If you have any information that is up to date, don't hesitate to share it, I will try to update it as soon as we can verify it.
